Description
Function: The Inventory Manager (IM) will oversee all aspects of the Community Food Bank (CFB) agency market team to include systems management and project management.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for P2 systems management to include to track stock accurately on a daily basis.
- Oversees database development and accuracy related to CFB records.
- Develops and maintains an effective training program for cycle counting, including on-line and in-person training.
- Conducts cycle counts and generates reports to ensure that inventory is accurate and that inventory is being turned utilizing FIFO and FEFO procedures.
- Develops and maintains inventory KPIs to include inventory accuracy.
- Responsible for daily reporting on inventory, stock levels, adjustments and reconciliation.
- Attends Daily Operations Meetings and provides briefings on inventory accuracy and issues. Provides input and support for daily planning efforts, including planning for purchasing, receiving, shipping, orders allocation, truck scheduling, shuttling, and inventory control activities as needed.
- Upholds food safety procedures in compliance with Feeding America and AIB requirements.
- Supervises the agency customer experience in Agency Market (AM) to CFB standards of excellence in partnership with and with guidance from the Food Security Team (FST), including AM hours of operation, agency scheduling, operational procedures and policies, customer service, and order fulfillment to assess what works best for agencies and their needs.
- Partners with the FST in all agency contacts, especially in the area of conflict resolution.
- From the available warehouse stock, ensures an equitable supply of food is available for agencies in AM and is proactive in networking with the CFB sourcing and produce teams to procure additional food items for AM distribution as needed.
- In partnership with the FST, works to establish and operationalize the equitable distribution of food to AM partner agencies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of overseeing all aspects of an Agency Market Team.
- Knowledge in managing systems to include analytics and connectivity with other systems, such as P2, Financial Edge and Sales Force.
- Skills in database development with accuracy and maintaining an effective training program.
- Ability to conduct cycle counts and generate reports to ensure accuracy in agency market inventory.
- Strong team management and leadership skills.
- Analytical and able to set and measure goals and results.
- Ability to effectively communicate with employees, volunteers, donors, and businesses.
- Strong time and management skills, long range planning and ability to 'see' roadblocks in advance.
- Ability to work without a high-level of direction.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Four (4) years of experience in Agency Markets and systems management.
- Three (3) years in a Warehouse Fulfillment environment as a Lead or Supervisor
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain/Warehouse Management, Logistics or a related field.
- Two (2) years of staff management and supervisory experience.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, etc.).
- For company insurance purposes, at least 21 years of age; possess a current Arizona Driver’s License with a safe driving record.
Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered if applicable and must be directly related to the functions and body of knowledge required to successfully perform the job.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working or volunteering at a nonprofit and/or food bank.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Physical Requirements:
- Medium Work – ability to exert 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
