What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Development and Donor Services position at Community Foundation For San Benito County?
The Director of Development and Donor Services will work across every area of the organization. The position will provide leadership in several functional areas including:
Donor Development and Donor Services
a) Creates an Annual Donor Development Plan that details specific activities to be conducted by month as well as anticipated outcomes.
b) Provides staff support for all meetings or events that are related to donor development including:
Asset Development meetings
Meetings with and for Professional Advisors
Women’s Fund Meetings
Targeted presentations or meetings that further donor development goals
c) Provides a wide range of donor-directed services and support to include generating a targeted donor prospect base, opening new funds, using the data-base to manage and support donor needs, proficiency in executing donor fund agreements
d) Prepares and executes an action plan for special or targeted campaigns/events (ex. Giving Tuesday)
e) Provides leadership with the National Philanthropy Day event (with both staff and committee support)
f) Working with Asset Development Committee, identifies and creates relationships with a broad inventory of current and prospective donors that includes:
a. all identified Legacy Givers
b. annual year-end donors
c. prospective donors to be actively cultivated
d. a list of those donors who are already active givers that might be approached for Legacy Gifts
e. corporate and foundation targets
g) Creates a strong database of Professional Advisors and sustains relationships with them
h) Works with the CFFSBC Board Chair to consider other committee appointments to strengthen Asset Development
i) Works with the Asset Development Committee on creating a Foundation Sustaining Benefactor Program
j) Provides written monthly reports on Development and Donor Services for the CFFSBC Board
k) Leverages all outreach activities to support donor development goals
Salary : $69,000 - $79,000
