Role Summary
The Landscape Construction Operations Manager is responsible for managing and participating in field operations for landscape and irrigation installation projects. In this role, you will coordinate the procurement and scheduled use of staff, equipment, materials, and subcontractors to ensure completion of work within safety guidelines, quality standards and budget. As a leader, promoting the growth and development of field staff is also an essential function.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Responsible for purchasing goods, services, and materials.
- Manage job budget of hours and materials.
- Participate in customer service-related activities.
- Support team members with estimating processes and development of new project proposals and change order proposals for new and existing clients.
- Manage post-sale quality control.
- Ensure assigned fleet, personnel uniforms, grooming, facility, and job sites, meet our corporate standards of a professional image.
- Ensure that all personnel are observing safety standards during working hours, at job sites, in public places, in transit, and at branch facilities.
- Develop crew schedules accounting for and optimizing job locations, equipment allocation, crew skills, customer preferences, most productive job timing, job hours.
- Performs daily site/crew visits to ensure service delivery objectives are being met and or exceeded.
- Interacts with customers face to face as needed to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Supervising employees including, but not limited to approving timesheets, maintaining attendance records, assuring safety policy compliance, and enforcing uniform compliance.
- Participating in field operations as necessary to ensure efficient delivery, provide hands on training and meet quality standards.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of in-field landscape supervisory experience -OR-
- Minimum of 3 years of prior customer service, and leadership experience within an organization.
- Valid Driver's license with clean driving record.
