Job Summary:

  • Provides agency based services including parent education, case management and advocacy to DCF families with children in foster or relative care.
  • Facilitate supervised visits between biological parents and their children at the Quality Parenting Center.
  • Transport children to all scheduled visits at the Quality Parenting Center.
  • Implement visitation plans in collaboration with relevant parties (e.g., DCF).
  • Provide coaching support to parents during scheduled visits with their children.
  • Works flexible hours including evenings, weekends and rotating holidays.
  • Complete all required documentation in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with all program staff and all relevant systems and key participants within each system to ensure coordinated efforts for optimal outcomes for the family.
  • Complete required training and professional development.
  • Participate in staff meetings, in-service training, and required workshops/conferences.
  • Ensure scheduled visits are completed as planned.
  • Work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Represent the program and agency in the community as requested.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in the human service field preferred, or an Associate’s Degree or High School Diploma with experience providing direct services to families is required.
  • Both formal education and life experience will be considered. Ability to work collaboratively on a team, provide culturally competent treatment and work a variable work schedule to include evenings.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Possess a valid CT driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Program Hours: Monday through Friday 11:30-8, Saturday-Sunday 9-5, holidays as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $47,000.00 per year
