Job Title: Quality and Compliance Manager
Reports To: Chief Human Resources Officer
Classification: Full-time, Salary, exempt
Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000
General Statement of Duties:
The Quality and Accreditation Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, and risk management standards across Community Healing Centers (CHC). Thisrole coordinates all audits, data collection, and reporting to maintain the highest level of quality in our programs and services. The Quality and Accreditation Manager works closely with leadership and staff to uphold best practices, mitigate risks, and ensure adherence to policies and procedures.

Accreditation & Compliance:
  • Lead all accreditation processes, ensuring CHC maintains compliance with relevant accrediting bodies (e.g., CARF, state and federal regulations).
  • Coordinate internal and external audits, including preparation, documentation, and follow-up on corrective actions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and standards to ensure CHC’s policies and practices align with best practices.
  • Develop and update policies and procedures to maintain compliance with licensing, accreditation, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure organization-wide adherence to confidentiality, ethical standards, and risk management protocols.
  • Develops and implements annual PQI/QIP or other Improvement plans for the organization, in collaboration with the department leads.
Data Collection & Quality Assurance:
  • Oversee data collection, analysis, and reporting to monitor program outcomes and improve service delivery.
  • Collaborate with leadership to establish performance benchmarks and ensure continuous quality improvement.
  • Manage the implementation of data tracking systems and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provide training and support to staff on data reporting, compliance requirements, and quality assurance processes.
  • Manages the collection, analysis, and communication of client satisfaction survey data.
Risk Management:
  • Identify and assess organizational risks, implementing strategies to minimize liability and maintain compliance.
  • Investigate incidents, complaints, and compliance concerns, ensuring timely resolution and corrective action.
  • Serve as a key resource for staff and leadership in interpreting risk management policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with HR and leadership to ensure all employees are trained on compliance and risk management protocols.
Collaboration & Communication:
  • Embrace, support and implement Community Healing Center's vision and values related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Act as a liaison between CHC leadership, staff, and regulatory agencies to ensure clear and effective communication regarding quality and compliance matters.
  • Keep the CEO informed of any critical compliance or risk management issues requiring executive-level attention.
  • Partner with department heads to implement quality improvement initiatives and ensure regulatory requirements are met.
  • Assist in preparing reports for the Board of Directors and funding agencies as needed.
  • Familiarizes staff with the standards with which Agency programs must comply including CARF, state licensing, contractual, insurance companies and other third-party payers.
  • Evaluates and integrates input from customers, referral sources, funders, accreditation bodies, and interested community representatives into Agency best practices.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, public health, business administration, social services, or a related field (master's preferred).
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance, compliance, risk management, or accreditation in a healthcare, behavioral health, or nonprofit setting.
  • Strong knowledge of accreditation and regulatory standards (CARF, HIPAA, Medicaid, state licensing, etc.).
  • Experience with data analysis, reporting, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and work collaboratively across departments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with data management systems.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in social work or related field from an accredited college or university required. Master’s degree preferred.
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • 5-7 years of experience in a health care related field, 1-3 years of management experience, preferred.
  • Experience in CARF accreditation, preferred.
Interpersonal Skills:
  • Knowledge and experience in substance abuse and/or mental health.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective and collaborative relationships with colleagues.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of data collection, survey instruments, and other feedback methodologies.
  • Knowledge of computer systems and relevant software including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to direct and supervise work groups.
  • Ability to develop Agency reports for the board and outside audiences.
  • Ability to develop and complete projects resulting in improved Agency productivity and compliance.
  • Ability to communicate and establish positive working relationships with staff and professionals at all levels, and community and other organizational representatives.
  • All staff are required to be screened for tuberculosis and understand that exposure to tuberculosis is possible.
  • Flu and Covid-19 Vaccines, required.
