Community Health Alliance is looking for a temporary part-time Information Technology Support Specialist. Join our talented team of Information Technology that focus on serving the community and helping those in need by creating healthy outcomes for patients of every income.
We operate six convenient locations throughout Reno and Sparks, providing comprehensive, top-quality medical services, dental and pediatric care, behavioral health, low-cost pharmacies, nourishing food pantries, and more.
Job Description: The Information technologies (IT) Support Specialist is directly responsible for providing desk side support to all users within the organization. This is accomplished by working in partnership with other IT staff and department heads as required.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of general office practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of an electronic medical record system (when applicable).
- Skill in operating a personal computer utilizing word processing, spreadsheets, databases, reports, and email.
- Ability to read, write legibly, and perform mathematical calculations.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.
- Ability to exercise good judgment in appraising situations and making decisions.
- Skill in accuracy and attention to detail.
- Skill in public and inter-agency relations.
- Ability to communicate professionally and courteously.
- Ability to work and interact effectively with other staff members to build and enhance teamwork.
- Ability to understand and respond appropriately to special population groups (e.g., race, ethnicity, language, age, sex).
- Ability to hear and speak well enough to converse over the telephone.
- Knowledge and understanding of IPv4 addressing.
- Knowledge and experience in desktop administration and support.
- Experience in troubleshooting printing services.
- Experience in troubleshooting user authentication issues.
- Familiarity with Desktop Authority, PDQ Deploy, and PDQ Inventory.
Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or MIS, and three to five years experience in systems/network environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with applications to a medical or social service delivery system preferred.
