As a Behavioral Health Specialist/Qualified Mental Health Specialist you are responsible for coordinating the milieu of a residential mental health treatment program while assisting patients with managing their illness and developing daily living skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide care, support and supervision to clients in a mental health residential treatment setting
- Assist and monitor self-administration of medication
- Provide emotional support to clients
- Facilitate program schedules and ensure clients have a safe and supportive environment
- Facilitate daily living skills groups and structured recreational activities
- Monitor clients, record observations and report client progress and concerns to treatment team
- Assist clients in working through crisis situations
- Perform administrative office tasks such answering phones, copying, filing
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years old
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver's License and Insurable driving record
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to treat clients with dignity and respect
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Proficient with Microsoft 365 applications, including Office Suite, Outlook and Teams
- Ability to learn and navigate electronic health record systems
