JOIN OUR TEAM of dedicated professionals in fostering hope and transforming lives.  As a Behavioral Health Specialist/Qualified Mental Health Specialist you are responsible for coordinating the milieu of a residential mental health treatment program while assisting patients with managing their illness and developing daily living skills.

 Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide care, support and supervision to clients in a mental health residential treatment setting
  • Assist and monitor self-administration of medication
  • Provide emotional support to clients
  • Facilitate program schedules and ensure clients have a safe and supportive environment
  • Facilitate daily living skills groups and structured recreational activities
  • Monitor clients, record observations and report client progress and concerns to treatment team  
  • Assist clients in working through crisis situations
  • Perform administrative office tasks such answering phones, copying, filing 

Qualifications


  • Must be 18 years old
  • High School Diploma or GED 
  • Valid Driver's License and Insurable driving record
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to treat clients with dignity and respect
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365 applications, including Office Suite, Outlook and Teams
  • Ability to learn and navigate electronic health record systems
