Community Health Alliance is a non-profit behavioral health agency that provides treatment services in Butler, Warren, and Preble counties, to adults with substance abuse and mental health problems. We are looking to hire team oriented, Crisis Consultant Interns to provide hotline services including mental health support, crisis de-escalation, and information and referrals to other services and resources.

We offer flexible work hours with occasional weekend and overnight shifts. This is a great opportunity for college students and those who are looking for experience in the behavioral health field.
As a Crisis Consultant Intern your job duties and responsibilities will be:
- Assist callers in crisis by providing emotional support, crisis de-escalation and safety planning.
- Utilizes active listening techniques to assist callers in de-escalating crises.
- Provides immediate telephone crisis management to callers identified at risk for suicide or other mental health emergency and assists in stabilization of the caller.
- Coordinates with other agencies and law enforcement as needed to assist callers in response to crisis.
- Establish a rapport with callers and assist the caller to handle the presenting concern.
- Maintains current knowledge of community resources to aid callers in providing appropriate linkage to needed services and supports.
- Maintains accurate and timely documentation.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age.
- GED or high school diploma required. Some college is preferred.
