Job Description : The Clinical Psychiatrist provides comprehensive, patient-centered mental health care to adolescents and adults in an outpatient setting. This role includes assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of serious mental illness (SMI) and substance use disorders through therapeutic interventions, medication management, and collaboration with multidisciplinary care teams. The Clinical Psychiatrist will have a specialized focus on medically assisted treatments (MAT) for substance use and is expected to be knowledgeable in the use of long-acting injectables and antipsychotic medications. This position requires a commitment to compassionate care and adherence to the highest standards of psychiatric practice and legal compliance. Licensing or the ability to be licensed in the State of Nevada is required.

  • Qualifications

    Experience

  • Experience in providing MAT, with a focus on safe administration, patient monitoring, and adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Minimum of 2 years working with patients with SMI, including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and major depressive disorder.
  • Familiarity with treatment protocols for long-acting injectables and antipsychotics.
  • Demonstrated experience working with adolescents ages 13 and above, with an understanding of developmental and psychosocial factors affecting adolescent mental health.
  • Experience working within a multidisciplinary team, including collaboration with psychiatrists, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans.
  • Licensure and Certification

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of a four-year accredited psychiatry residency program.
  • Active and unrestricted medical license to practice in the State of Nevada, or the ability to obtain one prior to start.
  • Successful completion of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) or the Comprehensive Osteopathic Medical Licensing Examination (COMLEX-USA).
  • Board certification in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN), or eligibility to obtain board certification within two years of hire.
  • DEA registration with authorization to prescribe controlled substances in Nevada.
  • Must meet Nevada's CME requirements, including 2 hours of suicide prevention and awareness training every four years and courses related to controlled substance prescribing, ethics, and pain management every two years.
  • Salary : $1,800
