Provides a range of psychological assessment, diagnostic, therapeutic, and/or case management services for individuals, children, couples, groups, and/or families, as appropriate to position. Will participate in case consultation and present cases at clinical meetings.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Advanced Clinical diagnostic assessment/documentation skills
- Including but not limited to psychosocial assessments, progress notes, telephone consultation, brief assessments, patient education
- Ability to assess suicide and homicide risk potential
- Planning for improving health services by interpreting social factors pertinent to development of the program
- The ability to work within a Multidisciplinary Team Model
- Individual, Group and Family therapy skills
- Strong ability to problem solve
- Community Collaboration skills
- Skills to assess needs and programs accordingly
- To practice in the scope of their training, qualifications and experience
- Adherence to their professional code of ethics
- Strong knowledge of and connection to community resources
- Additional duties as requested
- School Based Health Center (If applicable)
- An understanding of the workings of school systems
- Prevention and intervention skills and strategies appropriate for school settings
- The ability to independently (with support) develop a caseload while working within the school system

Education: LCSW position requires a Master’s degree from an accredited program in Social Work.
Experience: Must have previous experience as an LCSW in a professional clinical setting, maintaining an EHR, while providing therapeutic services. Group and family treatment preferred but not required.
Language Skills: Must speak, write and read English proficiently. Spanish preferred but not required.
Licensure/Certification Required: LCSW position requires a Master’s degree from an accredited program in Social Work, a current license from the Connecticut State Board of Registration and passed a national or state-certified licensing exam and is CPR certified
