Position Summary:
The Human Resources Director is responsible for overseeing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives that align with the overall business goals of the organization. This role involves managing HR staff, functions such as recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance, while fostering a positive workplace culture.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
· Oversee and coordinate the organization’s daily operations, focusing on efficiency and consistency across all Human Resource functions.
· Oversee the recruitment process, ensuring effective sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.
· Oversee HR administration, including employee records, payroll, and benefits management.
· Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the organization’s goals.
· Advise senior leadership on HR best practices and workforce planning.
· Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
· Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures as needed.
· Manage HR budgets and ensure efficient use of resources.
· Analyze HR metrics and provide insights to support decision-making
· Prepare reports for management on key HR initiatives and outcomes.
· Lead, mentor, and develop departmental staff and teams, fostering a culture of accountability and professional growth.
· Ensure alignment of team objectives with organizational goals and priorities.
· Promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment that values diversity and employee well-being.
· Supervise and support employees; manage employee schedules, including time management, trainings, performance evaluations and disciplinary actions
· Act as a trusted advisor for employees and management on HR-related matters.
· Mediate conflict resolution and promote a positive work environment.
· Implement and manage performance appraisal systems that drive employee engagement and development.
· Provide coaching and support to managers on performance management processes.
· Identify training needs and coordinate development programs to enhance employee skills.
· Occasional out of town travel.
· Able to lift up to 25 lbs.
· All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualification:
- High School diploma or GED with a bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 3 years of HR experience
- 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualification:
- Master’s in human resource management (MHRM) or an MBA with a focus on HR
- 1 years in a supervisory or leadership role
· Strong knowledge of HR regulations and best practices.
· Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP).
· Human Resource Certification Institute (PHR or SPHR).
