We are currently seeking an Associate Medical Director to join our organization. The AMD is responsible for establishing, maintaining and ensuring exceptional medical care to all patients treated at their CHC practice site. This medical provider works collaboratively with the site supervisor and Charge RN at their location to support the staff and services provided. They coordinate with the other medical directors, the site-level associate medical directors, and chief medical officer to ensure consistent patient experience and staff expectations.
Education and Experience
- Medical Degree from an accredited medical school and subsequent residency training program or degree from Physician Assistant school or Nurse Practitioner School
- Two years clinical experience working in an ambulatory care
- Leadership experience of other clinical staff including providers
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Demonstrated passion for representing and carrying out the mission and principles of CHCB.
- Proven leadership skills including the ability to effectively develop, lead and supervise physicians and advance practice providers.
- Ability to utilize cognitive-behavioral and dialectical interventions in support of OB patients
- Ability to foster a culture of teamwork and collaboration, and the ability to inspire and motivate others
- An affinity for working with a culturally, economically and politically diverse patient population.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to be a leader among the clinical staff in regard to quality patient care, documentation, customer service and EMR/EHR use.
Licensure, Certification, or Other Requirements
- Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine/Pediatrics
- License to practice medicine in the State of Vermont
- CPR certified
