Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Specimen Processor and Order Entry person to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in our laboratory ensuring the accurate ordering, processing and handling of various biological specimens for testing. This position requires a basic understanding of laboratory techniques and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
Responsibilities
- Process and prepare specimens for analysis, ensuring adherence to laboratory protocols.
- No phlebotomy/Blood draws.
- Maintain accurate records of specimen collection and processing.
- Collaborate with laboratory management to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Test Order Entry requires some keyboard skills.
- Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Job is a Monday thru Friday position. No weekends or Holidays.
- Hours are 1230-2100.
- Qualifications
- Experience in a hospital or clinical laboratory setting is preferred.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills helpful.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and safety.
- Phlebotomy experience preferred but not required.
