What are the responsibilities and job description for the WAREHOUSE SUPPLY TECHNICIAN position at COMMUNITY HEALTH OF SOUTH FLORIDA INC?
POSITION PURPOSE:
He/she is responsible for receiving, storing, issuing materials, supplies and equipment. Takes inventories and assists in compiling stock records. Develops proficiency in the use of Inventory Management Software.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience:
High School Graduate or GED Desired. A working knowledge of supplies and inventory control.
Licensure / Certification:
Must have a valid Class E Florida Drive License. Maintain current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
Skills / Ability:
Ability to communicate effectively with various center units. Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently. Must have clerical skills and be computer literate.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES (THIS IS A NON-EXEMPT POSITION)
Stocks warehouse operating inventory information such as catalog number, date received and other data on items.
Receives all shipments from vendors.
Process receipt documents on incoming shipments.
Dispenses supplies to various departments within all centers in accordance with purchase order.
Insures that all shipping documents are signed and dated by the receiving authority.
Prepares and returns merchandise with irregularities to vendors when necessary.
Accurately inputs supply and vendor shipment information into the computer system in a timely manner.
Reports errors or damages in shipments to vendors.
Processes supply requisitions for charge back to departments as required.
Keeps supply area organized on a daily basis.
Refers related problems to the Purchasing Manager.
Recommends reordering of supplies to buyer by requisition.
Maintains stock levels and processes supply requisitions submitted by departments for medical and other supplies.
Delivers supplies and equipment to designated departments in a timely manner.
Assists in maintaining daily and periodic inventories.
Completes assigned inventory counts as directed by the Purchasing Manager.
Maintains storage area in an orderly manner.
Completes cleaning assignments as required to maintain a clean and orderly work center.
Performs and completes special clerical duties as assigned by the supervisor or department head.
Delivers and picks up linen supplies for all programs and departments.
Maintains a par level in each linen closet twice a week.
Drives supply vehicle to all centers to deliver supplies and other commodities on a schedules basis or as urgency demands.
Pick up and deliver items to any health care network as directed by the Manager.
Monitors blanket purchase orders for office and medical supplies.
Initiates requisitions for medical or office supplies which do not appear on the supply catalog.
Maintains capital, medical and non-medical supply inventory.
Affix Fixed Asset Tags to Capital Items.
Ensure safety inspections are performed prior to delivery of medical equipment.
Maintains record of all new equipment before equipment as required.
Recommends to the Manager items to be added to or deleted from the CHI Central Stores Catalog.
Reports to work on time and ready to work with minimal absenteeism.
Adheres to Confidentiality Policies and Procedures / HIPAA Regulations.
Performs other duties as assigned.
