JOB TITLE : Program Director
EMPLOYMENT TYPE : Full-Time, 40 hours / week
SCHEDULED HOURS : Monday-Friday 9AM-5PM

ABOUT THE PROGRAM : Respite
Respite means to take a break. Clients often need a way to take some space from the stressors in their lives and we are here to provide that. Throughout the day you are spending your time engaging with clients, observing safe medication practices, working on daily independent living skills, assessing for risk and crisis situations and providing case management supports as needed. Clients may utilize Respite as a step down from a hospital or proactively to prevent a hospital stay. The program is staffed 24 / 7 and you will develop strong relationships with other CHR programs, primary health and pharmacies to best support those in our care. Many clients enter Respite at their "breaking points" and feeling hopeless and have the opportunity to connect with caring staff who can make life feel worthwhile again. Staff are provided with a monthly staff meeting as well as individualized supervision as well as a program director who is on call 24 / 7 so you never have to feel alone.
ABOUT THE POSITION : Program Director
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provides direction and leadership within the Team.
- Ensures clients receive services that are focused on presenting problems and clients' request for treatment.
- Directs crisis intervention efforts and intervenes as required.
- Monitors client meetings, admission, continued stay and discharge criteria.
- Reviews caseloads regularly to ensure appropriate utilization of services.
- Oversees hiring, training, and performance management of staff within the program.
- Facilitates team meetings.
- Participates in internal and external meetings as needed by program and agency.
- Ensures client, program and agency documentation is completed in a timely manner and according to program, agency, funder and accreditation / licensing standards.
- Acts as primary point person for program and provides back up coverage as needed by program and agency.
- Ensures proper maintenance of vehicles / if applicable.
- Will collaborate across teams and divisions to improve quality, workflow, and communication to improve efficiency and general outcomes
- Ensures timely completion of reports.
- Oversees completion of chart audits.
- Ensures completion of insurance authorization for services rendered as necessary.
- Develop and executes marketing plan for program as needed
- On call coverage during and after program hours as assigned.
- Ensures proper maintenance of vehicles / if applicable.
- Participates in committees to improve agency service delivery and quality improvement.
- Responsible for program budgets and productivity expectations
- Ensures compliance with regulating bodies.
- Additional duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Education : Master's Degree in mental health related field. Bachelor's degree may be substituted for education in some programs.
Experience : A minimum of 3 years' experience working with identified population. Two years of supervisory experience in a behavioral health setting preferred.
Licensure / Certification / Registration : LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or Licensed Psychologist required in state of CT. LADC may be substituted for LCSW, LMFT, LPC or Licensed Psychologist in some programs.

COMPENSATION
Starting at $65,875 / yr min., and up commensurate upon experience.
