Today, we have expanded our services to provide mental and physical healthcare to all individuals in our communities. We offer affordable care on a sliding fee scale to those who are under-insured or uninsured.
We accept various insurance plans, including ND and MN Medicaid, Medicare, and most private insurance plans. Our services are provided through four nurse-managed clinics, two mobile medical units, and two victim advocacy program centers in Minnesota and North Dakota.
About the Internship
We are seeking a driven and ambitious intern candidate to join our team in a trauma-informed clinical setting. This paid field placement experience position offers invaluable hands-on training, preparing you for a career in mental health services.
The Clinical Intern/Practicum Student is responsible for applying learned classroom theory with on-the-job practical experience in the assigned program. They must ensure that the applicable academic program and/or institution's learning criteria are satisfied.
Responsibilities
- Fulfills the required academic program and/or Academic Institution's criteria for an internship learning objectives.
- Participates in the orientation and onboarding process to learn Community Health Service Inc.'s policy and procedure expectations.
- Meets the supervision requirements and expectations.
- Performs other job-related responsibilities, tasks, and projects as needed and/or requested of the position.
Requirements
- Current enrollment in an accredited Master's program in Counseling, Social Work, or related field.
- Must meet the required number of experience hours in a human services field for the internship level.
- Familiarity with DSM-5 diagnoses and treatment planning.
