We were made for the community, by the community, to offer a full spectrum of services to include medical, behavioral health care, dental care, a full-service pharmacy and more. Our dedicated staff demonstrate the good we can do on a daily basis when we provide quality care with dignity to each and every individual. Community Health Services, Inc. is seeking a Medical Assistant for our Quality Department. The MA provides professional nursing care to our patients and their families following established standards and practices.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have willingness/availability to cross-train for coverage in our Adult Medicine, Pediatric/Adolescent, and Women's Health Departments.
  • Have a flexible schedule
  • Have a Medical Assistant Certification from a national certifying body (e.g. AAMA, NCCT, NHA, AMT).
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Have at least two years of successful medical assisting experience in a healthcare setting
  • Have experience assisting with office-based procedures
  • Have demonstrated success delivering high quality patient care, including taking vital signs, appropriately collecting and handling specimens, and performing in-office laboratory and diagnostic tests consistent with competency level
  • Have proven success handling confidential information
  • Be comfortable with or be able quickly to learn electronic practice management systems
  • Be able to produce high quality work efficiently and in an environment with changing priorities
  • Have a resourceful, collaborative, customer service-oriented approach and the willingness to be accountable
  • Demonstrate the ability to foster and maintain positive, productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clinical staff
  • Demonstrate alignment with CHS Core Values and a high level of personal accountability

Candidates who are bilingual in Spanish and English are strongly preferred.

Candidates with experience working in a multiple provider medical practice with diverse socio-economically diverse populations are encouraged to apply.

Pay: $17.36 - $22.27 per hour
