What are the responsibilities and job description for the Per Diem Medical Assistant position at Community Health Services?

Community Health Services, Inc. is seeking a Medical Assistant for our Quality Department. The MA provides professional nursing care to our patients and their families following established standards and practices.
The successful candidate will:
- Have willingness/availability to cross-train for coverage in our Adult Medicine, Pediatric/Adolescent, and Women's Health Departments.
- Have a flexible schedule
- Have a Medical Assistant Certification from a national certifying body (e.g. AAMA, NCCT, NHA, AMT).
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Have at least two years of successful medical assisting experience in a healthcare setting
- Have experience assisting with office-based procedures
- Have demonstrated success delivering high quality patient care, including taking vital signs, appropriately collecting and handling specimens, and performing in-office laboratory and diagnostic tests consistent with competency level
- Have proven success handling confidential information
- Be comfortable with or be able quickly to learn electronic practice management systems
- Be able to produce high quality work efficiently and in an environment with changing priorities
- Have a resourceful, collaborative, customer service-oriented approach and the willingness to be accountable
- Demonstrate the ability to foster and maintain positive, productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clinical staff
- Demonstrate alignment with CHS Core Values and a high level of personal accountability
Candidates who are bilingual in Spanish and English are strongly preferred.
Candidates with experience working in a multiple provider medical practice with diverse socio-economically diverse populations are encouraged to apply.
