Overview:
Organizes and coordinates daily work flow of Health Information Management (HIM) operations. HIM functions with lead oversight include release of information, analysis/reanalysis, document imaging, data integrity and other general HIM functions. HIM Leads act as a subject matter expert within a defined area, which includes training and curriculum development, quality and productivity monitoring.
Qualifications:
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
MINIMUM REQUIRED: High school diploma/GED. Four (4) or more years of hospital HIM clerical or general HIM office experience, with two of the years in area of designated HIM specialty.
PREFERRED: Completed college level medical terminology course. Successful completion of a college level course work.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
MINIMUM REQUIRED: N/A
PREFERRED: Currently enrolled or successful completion of an education program for Registered Health Information Technician (R.H.I.T.) or Registered Health Information Administrator (R.H.I.A.).
