Job Description:
Community Health & Wellness Partners (CHWP) utilizes a team-based care model, sharing patient-care responsibilities among members of a team. The HIM Specialist will process, transfer, manage and ensure security of patient data that come into and exit the health center. Assist with data collection and quality improvement initiatives and work to improve the practice and care for patients by accurately distributing and managing electronic and hardcopy patient documents and information. Manage patient release of information concerning HIPAA and any other regulations. The HIM Specialist will also be responsible for ensuring that patient information is kept confidential and secure.
Education:
- Associate degree or 3-5 years’ related experience required.
- Knowledge of EHR systems and practice management. ECW experience Preferred.
- Experience with HIPAA preferred.
- Knowledge of IT troubleshooting
Salary:
The hourly wage for this position will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
