What are the responsibilities and job description for the Loss Team Coordinator position at Community Healthcore?
Job scope:
A. Increase the capacity and competency of LMHA staff to screen, assess, manage, and treat youth at risk for suicide;
B. Increase awareness, early identification, and intervention for youth and young adults, ages 10-24, who are at risk for suicide;
C. Establish Local Outreach to Survivors of Suicide (LOSS) teams in the identified LMHAs to provide immediate postvention support to families, peers, and youth; and
D. Establish and expand prevention and postvention support for youth who may be at risk for suicide.
Education/licensure: Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or Social Work. Current valid driver's license in state of residence.
Experience/Knowledge:
Requires a basic understanding of mental illness, assessment processes and how to access professional/community resources. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Physical requirements that are bona fide occupational qualifications essential to the performance of the job:
Mobile and able to bend and reach during 8-12 hour day
Must be able to adequately complete SAMA, First Aid and CPR training
Work endurance sufficient to work an 8-12 hour day
Minimum Hiring Salary: $20.00 per hr.
