Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Monitor patients’ health by observing and reporting changes in their condition.
- Administer medications as prescribed and ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations.
- Assist clients with mobility needs, including lifting and transferring them safely.
- Support individuals with autism and other disabilities by implementing personalized care plans.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients in nursing homes or at home.
- Document care provided and communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals.
Requirements
- Previous experience in senior care or working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols and patient monitoring techniques.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality.
- Ability to lift and assist clients safely as needed.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality care.
- Certification in CPR/First Aid is a plus but not mandatory.
