One of your nice neighbors needs someone friendly to help them out. You'll be doing things like cleaning, cooking, getting their medicine ready, and just hanging out with them—maybe playing a fun game of Scrabble! If you like cats, that's a big plus! Your help would mean so much to them!
Community Horizons is passionately supporting the search for a private caregiver to join a loving in-home care team. In this fulfilling role, you will provide vital support and hands-on assistance with personal care and housekeeping tasks. Your efforts will play a crucial role in helping this community member maintain their cherished independence at home.
This position is part of the self-direction program, which means you'll work directly for the individuals who need your support. This arrangement not only offers greater flexibility and control over your schedule but also fosters a more personal and meaningful working relationship, as the member will hire you directly, bypassing the agency.
Schedule:
Thursday- Saturday 9 am – 6 pm
Pay: $ 16.32/hour
Things they could use a little help with:
- Cooking tasty meals
- Creating a warm and comfy atmosphere
- Lending a hand with household tasks
- Staying close while they shower (just being present, no touching!)
- Sending notes or cards
What you need to succeed:
- You need to be at least 18 years old to apply.
- Having experience taking care of wounds is a plus.
- We want someone who really cares about making a difference in people's lives.
- It's also important to like cats!
