Casual / Back-Up Pittsville Caregiver Needed
Are you passionate about assisting those with memory impairments? Do you have a flexible schedule to allow for picking up shifts when others are on vacation, sick, etc.? If so, this might be the right position for you.
Community Horizons is assisting a Pittsville community member in finding the right compassionate person to assist in her daily care and need for direction. Consider assisting this wonderful woman in making sense of the world around her.
Wage: $16.32 per hour
Hours:
· Pick-up shifts as needed
· Regular Daily Scheduled Shifts in the Home Are as Follows:
6:00 am-2:00 pm, 2:00 pm–10:00 pm and 10:00 pm–6:00 am
· Training is provided
· Let us know what days and times work best for you
Tasks Include:
· Meal prep
· Medication Administration
· Showering / Personal Care
· Toileting
· Light Housekeeping / Laundry
· Daily direction for all activities of daily living
· Walks outside and golf cart rides (weather permitting)
Ideal Candidate:
· 1 year of experience working with those with memory impairments
· Dependable
· Compassionate
· Patient
· Friendly
· Excellent communication skills
· Able to follow instructions and perform a variety of tasks to assist the member.
· Has a reliable form of transportation
· Favorable Background Check
Work Environment: 1:1 in members own home

Self-direction gives program participants the choice over who provides services and how they receive them.
