Community Horizons is passionately supporting the search for a private caregiver to join a loving in-home care team. In this fulfilling role, you will provide vital support and hands-on assistance with personal care and housekeeping tasks. Your efforts will play a crucial role in helping this community member maintain their cherished independence at home.
This position is part of the self-direction program, which means you'll work directly for the individuals who need your support. This arrangement not only offers greater flexibility and control over your schedule but also fosters a more personal and meaningful working relationship, as the member will hire you directly, bypassing the agency.
Schedule:
Casual up to 8 hours a week with flexible hours
Pay:
$16.32 & $0.35 mileage reimbursement
Tasks:
- Helping out with errands or accompanying to doctor's appointments
- Assisting with loading and unloading a wheelchair from the vehicle
To succeed in this role:
- You need to be at least 18 years old
- A valid driver's license is required!
- Having a car that's easy to enter is a big advantage
- We're seeking someone who is easygoing, fun, and adaptable
