Casual weekend help needed

A nice lady who could use some extra help is looking for someone to be with her on weekends. This person will assist her in getting out of bed and getting ready for the day. She'll need help making breakfast and cleaning up afterward. In the evening, the helper will assist her in getting ready for bed and keeping things tidy. The job involves cooking, cleaning, helping her with personal care, giving her medicine, and spending time together with her cat as well.

Community Horizons is passionately supporting the search for a private caregiver to join a loving in-home care team. In this fulfilling role, you will provide vital support and hands-on assistance with personal care and housekeeping tasks. Your efforts will play a crucial role in helping this community member maintain their cherished independence at home.

This position is part of the self-direction program, which means you'll work directly for the individuals who need your support. This arrangement not only offers greater flexibility and control over your schedule but also fosters a more personal and meaningful working relationship, as the member will hire you directly, bypassing the agency.

Schedule:

Saturday and Sunday 6 am - 8 am, 8 pm - 9 pm

Pay:

$16.32/Hour

Tasks:

- Lend a hand when getting dressed

- Help them with bathing to make it a bit easier

- Encourage them as they tackle their daily hygiene routines

- Join in on some everyday cleaning tasks together

To be able to succeed in this role:

- Must be 18 years or older.

- Looking for dependable and friendly teammates.

- Should be at ease providing hands-on care in a supportive environment.

- A background check will be required to ensure safety.

- A genuine love for cats is a must!
