Cleaner & Morning Care Companion
Are you a caregiver who enjoys helping others to remain as independent as possible? Are you patient, understanding, and have a good sense of humor? Are your mornings free to pick up open shifts as needed? If so, please consider assisting a male member to get up in the morning and out the door for his day programming services. Community Horizons would be happy to call you to provide more information about this wonderful in-home care opportunity.
Wage $16.54 / Hour
Current Need
· Backup caregiver to assist as needed on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
· 7:00 am - 9:00 am to assist with showering, dressing, etc.
· 4 hours per week for cleaning needs
· Cleaning times are flexible and would be split between 2 days during the week.
Tasks
· Assist in rising each morning to embrace the day ahead.
· Assist with showering, dressing, and any other personal care needs
· Incontinent care needs
· Light meal preparation for breakfast. Lunch packing for his afternoon meal
· Possible transport to his day services program in Wisconsin Rapids
· Bathroom and Bedroom cleaning/organizing
· Dishes, Laundry, etc.
Ideal Candidate
- Familiar with the unique needs of individuals with intellectual disabilities.
- Experienced and compassionate with personal care needs
- Motivational attitude with a good sense of humor
- Willingness to be a companion and provide encouragement and emotional support
when needed
- Pet Friendly
- Must have a reliable vehicle for transportation, including insurance.

Community Horizons offers support for individuals enrolled in self-directed programs through Managed Care Organization or IRIS (Include, Respect, I Self-Direct) throughout Wisconsin. Self-direction gives program participants the choice over who provides services and how they receive them. Community Horizons is not the employer on record, members make all hiring decisions with the involvement of a third-party fiscal agent responsible for payroll.
