What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Support Professional/Caregiver position at Community Horizons LLC?
We are seeking an in-home care provider who can assist a disabled gentleman in his home several times per day. The hours can be flexible, and we are open to discussing your availability and are willing to make just about anything work!
Hours:
Shifts will last 2-3 hours
- Morning visit about 7a
- Afternoon visit about 2-3p
- Bedtime visit- Later the better
Rotating weekend shifts are required.
Pay: $18.83/hour
The job:
- Assist with transferring from bed to wheelchair using a pivot transfer or a sit-to-stand lift.
- Assist with personal hygiene tasks (showering, dressing, nail and hair care, etc.)
- Light housekeeping (sweeping, mopping, bathroom, dishes, laundry, linen changes)
- Meal preparation
- Errands as needed (grocery shopping or pharmacy pick up).
- Assist with AFOs.
- Assist with incontinence care.
A few must-haves:
- Ability to pass a Wisconsin Caregiver background check.
- Valid Driver's license
- Absolutely must be dependable
- You'll do well here if you have a sense of humor, even if it's a little dark.
- Behavior that is professional and respectable.
