Community Horizons is assisting a Junction City community member in finding the right energetic private companion to hang out with on weekends. You read that right: your time will be dedicated to activities within the community for supervised entertainment. This is a perfect position for anyone looking for a few extra hours or looking to build a schedule over time.

This is a unique position where you will work 1:1 with a community member through self-direction.

HOURS OF NEED

· Weekends (could be Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays)

· Approximately 9 hours split between 2 days

· Work together with the family to create a schedule that suits both you and the family

WAGE: $15.00/Hour

TASKS: including but not limited to:

· Providing transportation to community activities

· Supervision within the community

· Assisting with medications as prescribed

· Gentle reminders on personal care

· Meals according to individualized diet

Some interests include:

· Bowling, Movies, Shopping, Going for walks, Bike riding

You Might Be the Perfect Fit If:

· You’re active and love being on the go

· You’re not easily intimidated

· Knowledge of seizures is a plus, but not necessary

· You’re familiar with Autism

· You have a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle

· You’re comfortable around pets and have no allergies

· You have a friendly nature and enjoy being around others

Who is Community Horizons

Community Horizons offers support for individuals enrolled in self-directed programs through Managed Care Organizations or IRIS (Include, Respect, I Self-Direct) throughout Wisconsin. Self-direction gives program participants the choice over who provides services and how they receive them. Community Horizons is not the employer on record, members make all hiring decisions with the involvement of a third-party fiscal agent responsible for payroll.
