Community Horizons is assisting a delightful woman in the Appleton area in locating a care assistant to help her in her home. This individual is blind, so a special kind of help is needed. The Pay: $14-$15/hour
The hours are flexible, 2 -3x per week, between the hours of 9a-5p.
Tasks needed:
- Assistance with large and small organizational projects.
- Reading mail out loud.
- Running errands as needed.
- Light housekeeping.
- Carpet cleaning.
- Filing paperwork.
- Meal prep.
- Simply being the "eyes"
Requirements:
- Valid DL and reliable vehicle.
- Caring and compassionate.
- Receives instructions well.
- Open to instructive criticism.
- Open to learning a different way of life (sight impaired).
Community Horizons offers support for individuals enrolled in self-directed programs through Managed Care Organizations or IRIS (Include, Respect, I Self-Direct) throughout Wisconsin. Self-direction gives program participants the choice over who provides services and how they receive them. Community Horizons is not the employer on record, members make all hiring decisions with the involvement of a third-party fiscal agent responsible for payroll.
