A local woman is looking for a companion with a side of caregiving. The tasks would include keeping their living space tidy, preparing meals, managing medications, and assisting them when they need to move from their wheelchair. This incredibly smart and humble woman also needs someone to fill her day with fun and companionship. Would you be interested in helping out?
Community Horizons is excited to help find a private caregiver to join a caring home team. In this rewarding role, you'll provide important support with personal care and household tasks. Your help will be vital in allowing this community member to remain independent in their home.
This position is part of a self-direction program, meaning you'll work directly for the person who needs your help. This setup gives you more flexibility with your hours and allows for a more personal connection, as the individual will hire you themselves instead of going through an agency.
Schedule:
Sunday, Tues, Thur, Every other Frid and Sat: 9 am – 6 pm
- Thursday to Saturday: 9 pm – 6 am (You’ll be able to sleep while the member does.)
Pay: $16.32/hour
Here are some things they could use help with:
- Cooking delicious meals
- Creating a cozy and welcoming home
- Helping with household chores
- Being nearby while they shower (just being present, no touching!)
- Sending notes or cards
What you need to succeed:
- You need to be at least 18 years old to apply.
- Experience with wound care is a plus.
- We're looking for someone who genuinely cares about making a difference in people's lives.
- It’s also important that you like cats!
