Community Horizons is assisting a Green Bay community member to recruit a qualified candidate for an in-home care position. The job is a perfect fit for someone who is just starting in health care or someone who is looking for a small part-time job. The hours can be flexible with your personal obligations in mind. Hours:
Shifts will last 2-3 hours
- Morning visit about 7am
- Afternoon visit about 2-3pm
- Night visit- Later the better
Rotating weekend shifts are required.
Pay: $18.83/hour
The job:
- Assist with transferring from bed to wheelchair using a pivot transfer or a sit-to-stand lift.
- Assist with personal hygiene tasks (showering, dressing, nail and hair care, etc.)
- Light housekeeping (sweeping, mopping, bathroom, dishes, laundry, linen changes)
- Meal preparation
- Errands as needed (grocery shopping or pharmacy pick up).
- Assist with AFOs.
- Assist with any daily range of motion
- Assist with incontinence care.
A few things that are required:
- Ability to pass a Wisconsin Caregiver background check.
- Valid Driver's license
- Absolutely must be dependable
- Behavior that is professional and respectable.
- Sarcasm and dark humor
Community Horizons offers support for individuals enrolled in self-directed programs through Managed Care Organizations or IRIS (Include, Respect, I Self-Direct) throughout Wisconsin. Self-direction gives program participants the choice over who provides services and how they receive them.
