REPORTS TO: Director of Strategic Development
SUPERVISES: Mental Health Clinicians, Program Coordinator, Administrative Support, Volunteer Facilitators, and Interns
SUMMARY: The Community Support Services Manager is responsible for overall planning, development, implementation, management and evaluation of the Hope Counseling and Children’s Grief Support Programs and services.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provides leadership and oversight of Hope Counseling and Children’s Grief Support programs which includes budget preparation, adherence to policies and procedures, service delivery, quality improvement and compliance with state and federal regulations including provider credentialing. Manages the training, supervising and evaluating of program personnel. Ensures appropriate service delivery, engages in continuous quality improvement and proposes new efficiencies which best meet the needs of Community Hospice & Health Services (CHHS) clients. Participates in CHHS policy and procedure development, attends monthly staff meetings. Presents a monthly statistical report to Director of Strategic Development.
2. Carries a partial case load of Hope Clients to support productivity that is billable up to 50% of total work time.
3. Responsible for the Children’s Grief Support Program growth into additional schools and surrounding communities. Assist with contract management, including negotiations with school district personnel. Develops new or revised services to best meet the needs of CHHS clients. Ensures appropriate volunteer facilitator training for the provision of quality services.
4. Reviews Hope Counseling documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, contracts and grant reports. Works in collaboration with leadership to develop a plan for evolving Hope Counseling program.
5. Provides information to individuals and community groups about Hope Counseling and Children’s Grief Support services and opportunities. Serves as a CHHS public resource as a speaker, trainer and presenter.
6. Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Strategic Development.
7. Observes all CHHS Policies and Procedures and safety requirements as outlined in adopted Policies and Procedures as well as the Injury and Illness Policy.
8. Maintains a professional appearance of self and work area; exhibits appropriate behavior with clients and staff, i.e. respectful, courteous, supportive and professional at all times.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- CA Professional licensed as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
- Minimum of two years experience in a hospice, doing support services preferred
- Minimum of one-year supervisory experience is preferred
- Spanish/English bi-lingual preferred
- Expertise in mental health services and bereavement
- Experience in working with volunteers
- Computer data entry and database maintenance skills required
- Possess a philosophical stance compatible with hospice and palliative care ideals
- Possess public speaking skills
- Demonstrates good communication and interpersonal skills, and possess ability to work supportively in a team approach
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Possesses a valid California driver’s license, reliable transportation and current auto insurance.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: This position works in an office environment using a computer and general office equipment as well as on site on school grounds.
WORK SCHEDULE: Position is regular FLSA exempt full-time required to work a regularly scheduled workweek of at least 40 hours during regular business hours of the department managing, with extra time as needed to meet the needs of the organization.
Salary : $89,440 - $120,203
