What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food Service Worker position at Community Hospital - Fairfax, MO?
Perform a variety of tasks and operations to prepare meals and food items for patients, employees, guest, special functions and others as directed. Follows standard practices and procedures to comply with regulatory requirements for a hospital setting.
Qualifications include:
· High School Diploma or GED Equivalent, Associate degree preferred.
· Certified ServSafe Food Handler.
· Ability to read, speak, write and follow routine oral and written instructions in English
· Ability to understand and follow safety procedures and safely clean equipment and supplies.
· Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects.
· Must be able to run an iPad cash register and make accurate change.
· Ability to work well with many types of people.
· Knowledge of cooking methods and procedures including various types of preparation.
· Knowledge of food preparation and presentation methods, techniques and quality standards
· Knowledge of food service line set-up and temperature requirements.
· Familiar with kitchen equipment preferred
· Experience in hospital, institutional or restaurant cooking preferred but not necessary. Will train and complete training modified diets and sanitation.
