JOB SUMMARY
The HR Job Screener plays a critical role in the hiring process by conducting initial evaluations of job applications and resumes to identify candidates who meet basic qualifications and align with the organization’s requirements. This role involves assessing resumes and job applications conducting brief phone screenings, scheduling interviews for all vacancies.
JOB-RELATED DUTIES – ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
These duties are essential and specific to the successful implementation of this position.
• • Review incoming applications and resumes to assess candidate qualifications, experience, and skills against job requirements.
• Identify high-potential candidates and flag resumes for follow-up by the Talent Acquisition Specialist or Hiring Manager
• Conduct initial phone screenings to verify candidate interest, availability, and basic qualifications.
• Provide applicants with preliminary information about the role and the organization
• Maintain organized records of applicant interactions and screening outcomes
• Update candidate status in the applicant tracking system and ensure all notes are completed and accurate
• Work closely with the Talent Acquisition Specialists to align on role requirements and ensure
Quality control in candidate selection
• Share feedback with the Talent Acquisition Specialists and hiring managers to continuously improve the screening process
• Identify patterns in applicant qualifications to adjust screening practices as needed
Pay: $24.03/hour $50,000/year
FLSA: Exempt
Schedule: 9am to 5pm Monday through Friday
Location: Patchogue, NY
