Full-Time– Counselor/Drug Resource Specialist
The Drug Resource Specialist provides a variety of drug and alcohol prevention, education and counseling services for students and families on school campus and as referred by the school. The Drug Resource Specialist position requires knowledge of substance abuse prevention, experience working with youth, families and schools, counseling and case management skills, computer competence (Outlook, Word), organizational and planning skills and excellent written and verbal skills. The incumbent must be able to work independently and as member of team. The incumbent must also be able to work closely with school staff while staying connected to CHS and the supervisor to successfully implement program objectives and develop strong, healthy, ongoing relationships with students and the school.
Candidates for this position must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Counseling, Psychology or Social Work and two years related work experience. The equivalent combination of education and related experience may be substituted for the above. Preference will be given to bilingual/bi-literate/bi-cultural candidates. Valid California driver’s license and auto insurance required.
Salary $51,891- $63,075 per year D.O.E. Additional 5% if Bilingual (E/S). Generous benefits package including medical, dental and vision coverage. AA/EOE.
