Description

Join a Team That’s Making an Impact!

At Community Impact, we believe that design is more than just creating ads—it’s about telling stories that connect businesses with the communities they serve. As a Marketing Designer, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the success of local businesses (including Community Impact) by developing strategic, visually compelling campaigns that drive engagement and results. You’ll collaborate with our sales team, storytellers, support members, leaders as well as external customers to brainstorm, execute, problem solve and celebrate wins.

If you’re passionate about blending creativity with delivery, if you thrive in a fast-paced environment, and if you want to make a real difference in your community, this is the role for you.

About Community Impact

Owners John and Jennifer Garrett launched the first edition of Community Impact in 2005 with a mission to build communities of informed citizens and thriving businesses through the collaboration of a passionate team. Today, we reach millions of Texas residents through daily online updates and monthly direct mail editions.

We’re deeply invested in the communities we serve. Our reporters attend city council and school board meetings, our staff volunteer with nonprofits, and our sales and customer success teams work alongside local businesses to help them succeed. We have five core values —Faith, Passion, Quality, Innovation and Integrity—that drive everything we do to “be a light” in Texas.

The Role: Marketing Designer

As a Marketing Designer, your role extends beyond traditional graphic ad design; additionally it requires a deep understanding of marketing principles and psychology, data analysis and trends, and overall customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Design and execute multi-platform marketing campaigns with strategy, innovation, timeliness, and accuracy.

Work through a fast-paced queue to produce high-quality marketing materials with minimal revisions.

Engage with internal and external clients to understand needs, answer questions, present ideas and/or overcome hurdles to prove return on investment.

Train and educate sales team members on marketing best practices, ensuring they can better guide clients.

Balance priorities across customer orders, emails, meetings, and all assigned projects.

Stay up-to-date on marketing trends, data analytics, and design best practices to continually improve results.

Represent Community Impact with professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to making a difference in local communities.

Travel is as-needed

What We’re Looking For

Proactive and strategic thinker who understands marketing beyond just design.

Strong communicator who is comfortable interacting with clients and troubleshooting concerns.

Ability to translate business goals into compelling marketing materials.
