Supplemental Information
Hourly Range: - $20.96-$28.85/HR ($43,600 - $60,000 annually) (DOE)

Who should apply?
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Two (2) years experience in providing direct treatment to the mentally ill, preferably in a criminal justice setting.
- Agency Affiliated Counselor with Washington State Department of Health or ability to obtain within 7 days from date of hire.
- Proficient in computer use and applications commonly used or applied in this field/trade/position for the development of reports, documents, presentations and access/utilize databases for care management and Microsoft Office software.
- Possess and maintain a valid drivers license. Pass and maintain a clear background record as required for healthcare organization under state and federal contracts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Social Services, Counseling, or related field.
Some of what you will do:
- Assist in gather information for the development of a comprehensive assessment that includes and is not limited to: psychiatric history (onset, course, and effect of illness, past treatment and responses, risk behaviors, and accomplishments), mental status, and diagnosis; physical health and dental health; use of drugs and alcohol; education and employment; social development and functioning; activities of daily living (self-care, living situation, nutrition, money management); and family structure and relationships.
- Document participant progress and to maintain a permanent record of activity according to the agency's established methods and procedures.
- Contribute to the program's ongoing assessment of participants mental illness symptoms and participants response to treatment. Shares observations and concerns with FACT Team Members for consultation and direction and takes appropriate action.
- Provide direct services to participants on an individual, group and family basis in the community settings to teach symptom-management techniques and promote personal growth and development by assisting participants to cope with internal and external stresses and move ahead with their goals.
- Provide supportive services, such as assisting participants with obtaining benefits, finding and maintain work with securing necessary clothing and grooming supplies, wake-up calls, transportation, resume and application assistance.
- Provide ongoing assessment, mentoring, encouragement problem solving, side-by-side services, skill teaching, support, and environmental adaptations to assist participants with activities of daily living. Assist participants to find and maintain a safe and affordable place to live
- -apartment hunting, finding a roommate, landlord negotiations, cleaning, furnishing and decorating, and procuring necessities (telephone, furniture, utility hook-up). Assist and support them to perform household activities, including house cleaning and laundry.
- Assist and support participants in obtaining adequate financial support (help to gain employment and apply for entitlements). Teach money-management skills (budgeting and paying bills) and assist participants in accessing financial services such as bank checking and savings accounts.
- Help participants to access reliable transportation (obtain a driver's license and car and car insurance, arrange for cabs, use public transportation, find rides).
- Assist and support participants to have and effectively use a personal primary care physician and dentist, and eye doctor, if applicable.
- Meets expected productivity standards and completes the necessary financial/billing information for the organization to receive payment.
- Organize and lead individual and group social and recreational activities to help participants structure their time, increase social experiences, and provide opportunities to practice social skills.
- Participates in a unit team and provides team coverage.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned by the supervisor.
