What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Manager for developmentally disabled adults position at Community Integrated Services?
As a human service agency and Supported Living Program, Community Integrated Services (CIS) is committed to serving adults with developmental disabilities and behavioral issues—and helping them thrive. Many of the individuals CIS serves are challenged by severe behavioral and mental health issues.
Salary Range – $32.00-$34.50 per hour depending experience
- Directly supervise employees, including: directing the work; training on systems, policies, procedures and productivity standards; provide ongoing coaching and training; documenting performance issues, etc.
- Visit client and staff at homes on a regular and consistent (weekly) basis to ensure health and safety compliance, to monitor staff performance, oversee client services and provide training/coaching as needed.
- Participate in the development of client care plans.
- Represent CIS in necessary client meetings with probation officers, medication prescribers, Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) case managers, therapists, school and vocational personnel, and provide input regarding client needs, behaviors and goals to ensure appropriate services are documented and provided.
- Act as primary CIS professional contact for formal supports related to clients on caseload, and as an additional CIS professional contact for formal supports and parents/guardians regarding other clients (if assigned House Program Manager is unavailable).
- Conduct detailed inspections of client books, house documentation, cleanliness, safety issues, etc. to ensure compliance with DDA and agency requirements, procedures and standards. Provide ongoing training and guidance to ensure maintenance of these standards.
- Coordinate and ensure transportation is provided for all client appointments, employment, school, community activities, etc.
- Monitor client medications and administration. Contact pharmacy regarding refills, document contact via fax transaction records and/or email, track refills, assuring clients have required medication reviews as recommended while ensuring medications are taken as prescribed and tracked accordingly.
- Implement, monitor and enforce legal compliance measures, including those providing for the safety and security of employees, clients and CIS property.
- Manage recordkeeping and review documentation to ensure compliance with CIS policies, treatment plans and DDA policies, as well as other external and internal guidelines/requirements.
- Participate in on-call duties on a rotational basis. Facilitate bi-monthly house team meetings.
- Gather monthly data and summarize information regarding clients, and prepare quarterly reports to be submitted to Program Director.
- Assignments involve work of a confidential or complex nature, necessitating exposure to sensitive information and contacts requiring considerable discretion, judgement, tact, and diplomacy.
- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience, preferably in human service field.- Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, education, counseling or related field/Master’s degree preferred.
- All Applicants must have: reliable transportation, insurance, successfully pass a background check, HS or GED. Any combination of experience may be substituted for education.
- Must be highly organized, excellent written and leadership skills, flexible, service oriented, and professional.· Solid computer skills with programs such as Word.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the fundamental concepts, principals, and practices related to working with behaviorally challenged adults, as well as I/DD adults.
