Child Care Teacher

Community Learning Center is a private not for profit otganization that has celebrated 45 years of caring for children within our community. Our mission is to meet the diverse childcare needs of families within a healthy, safe and nurturing environment.

We are currently seeking cooperating teachers who are:

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementation of age-appropriate lesson plans that align with Wisconsin Model of Early Learning Standards (WMELS)
• Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment for all children.
• Assist in monitoring and assessing children's progress, providing feedback to parents/guardians as needed.
• Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social skills and emotional well-being.
• Maintain effective classroom management to ensure a productive learning atmosphere.
• Provide quality care for infants, toddlers, preschool and school-aged children, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices or ability to take direction and mentoring in child care
• Experience in childcare or preschool settings preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
• Classroom management skills to maintain an effective learning environment.
• Ability to provide toddler care with patience and understanding.
• Certification in CPR and first aid is required, but may be completed within the first 3 months of employment by CLC.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and staff members.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
