What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant assistant position at Community LIFE?
Summary : Are you a creative person who loves activities, crafts and games? Come join the most fun department in town! At Community LIFE, our Activities Assistant helps the Activities Coordinator with the planning, organization, coordination and implementation of therapeutic activities for older adults at our day center.
The work duties vary on a day-to-day basis and a flexible work schedule is required - you will not be bored in this job! A Driver's license is required for this position, as you will occasionally travel to homes within the community to do activities with our participants.
Required Education : High School diploma or equivalent
Required Experience : One year experience working with the frail or elderly. Highly preferred : one year experience providing activities in a social setting;
or a combination of education and activities experience.
Required Skills :
- Ability to work cooperatively with Activities Coordinator and Day Center staff.
- Willingness to use skills, talents, and creativity to enhance and advance activity programming format.
- Ability / knowledge to take on leadership role in the absence of Activities Coordinator
