What You Will Do:
- Review time sheets and ensure they are completed and have proper authorizations for submission to ADP
- Verify employee’s pay rate
- Monitor PTO balances and payroll deductions
- Review monthly working hours to determine the employee’s status for benefits (part-time vs full-time)
- Record payroll into the accounting system on a bi-weekly basis.
- Verify the accuracy and validity of all transactions, ensure proper authorization are obtained for all payables
- Enter all invoices into the accounting system
- Process all electrical reimbursements and payment
- Pay all bills on a timely basis
- Ensure all checks or electrical payments are mailed with proper authorizations
- Follow up on all outstanding issues
- Maintain all financial records according to agency protocols
- Prepare annual 1099 tax forms
- Special projects as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree
- 1-3 years of bookkeeping, payroll or related experience
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and detail-oriented
- Excel skills
Work Location: Nassau & Suffolk County area
Work Hours/Schedule: Monday – Friday 9 AM – 5 PM
Pay: $42,000 - $46,000/year
