We’re all about transforming lives and empowering individuals with developmental disabilities. As a Day Hab-Direct Support Professional, your contributions will make a real difference every day.
What Your Role Will Be:
- Transport participants to various community and recreational activities that support skill-building and personal growth
- Ensuring safety and providing appropriate supervision of participant support in the community
- Lead group sessions where participants can learn practical skills for daily life in the community, such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving.
- Actively engage participants in activities, encouraging participation and maintaining interest to create a positive and meaningful experience.
- Foster independence by assisting participants to develop work, recreational, and social skills
- Assist individuals in identifying and working towards life goals
- Serve as a positive role model, building trust and supportive relationships with participants.
- Supports the participants achieve their personal goals to improve their quality of life
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Valid NYS Driver License with a minimum 1-year driving experience required
- Experience as a Caregiver, Direct Care Worker, Nursing Assistant, Home Care Aide or Companion a plus
- Experience with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred
- Must be able and comfortable to operate an Agency Vehicle
Work Location: starts & ends in Westbury, NY
Work Hours/Schedule: Monday – Friday 8 AM – 4PM
Pay: $18/hour

- Paid Time Off:
