Overview:
The Recreation Leader will develop, coordinate, and implement engaging recreational activities for individuals residing in our residential programs. This role is vital in promoting social inclusion, community integration, and overall well-being for the people we support.

What Your Role Will Do:
- Plan and facilitate ongoing activities tailored to meet the interests and needs of the individuals across multiple residential programs.
- Organize and oversee agency-wide large-scale events, including dances, sporting event outings, theatrical performances, and other social gatherings.
- Coordinate staffing and scheduling for recreation activities, ensuring adequate support for participation.
- Collaborate with external vendors, volunteers, and activity leaders to enhance recreational offerings.
- Manage logistics, transportation, and accessibility needs for all panned events and activities.
- Maintain records and reports of recreation program participation, effectiveness, and outcomes.
- Participate in budget planning and ensure activity budgets are followed.
- Ensure all activities promote inclusivity, engagement, and skill development for individuals.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Therapeutic Recreation, or related field preferred or 5 years relevant experience in recreation programming.
- Experience working with the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) population strongly preferred (OPWDD).
- Valid New York State driver’s license.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, as required.
- Ability to work at multiple locations.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Work Hours/Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday 1 PM – 9 PM
Pay: $25.00/hr.

- Paid Time Off:
