What are the responsibilities and job description for the OR Tech position at Community Medical?
OR Tech
Status/FTE: FT / 0.8-1.0
Shift length: 10 hours
Start Time: 0630 to 1700
Unit: Surgery
Schedule Requirements (including weekends, holidays): Four (4) 10 hours shifts, alternating days of the week; M-Th to Tues-Fri. No weekends, no holidays and no on-call.
Required qualifications:
- Highschool diploma or equivalent
- Must obtain BLS Healthcare Provider within 90 days of hire
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in medical terminology
- CNA or Medical Assistant experience
Additional Information/Department information: The operating room core tech works as an integral part of the surgery team providing support and assistance to the staff and patients. The OR Tech will be responsible for assisting with setting up the OR equipment, completing of case carts, an assist with turning over the operating rooms. They will also clean and care for operating rooms, core, and equipment. Proper communication with operating room staff is a vital part of the position. Overall patient care and safety is top priority.
