What are the responsibilities and job description for the HOME HEALTH AIDE position at Community Memorial Health Care?
CMH Home Health Agency is looking for an individual to help in caring for clients in their homes, on a part-time basis.
A Home Health Aide is an on-the-job certified worker who is prepared to assist professional nursing and therapist in the care of the patient by providing nursing care on a part-time basis for the sick and/or disabled member of the family. The duties of the Home Health Aide are planned and assigned by the professional nurse to meet the patient and family situation. The Home Health Aide is not a substitute for the nursing supervisor, she/he may carry out certain personal care services in carefully selected situations. The hours of work will be flexible, but need to be completed during the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Must have the C.N.A. certification and be able to enroll in an accredited Home Health Aide course and pass the state exam within 90 days of the hire date. Must pass a CASAS reading competency test (8th grade reading equivalence).
Must pass competency exams as given by the agency within 90 days of the hire
High school diploma or GED preferred but not required. Must be able to write legible reports.
Have one year experience in personal care services (preferred).
Experience in home personal care preferred.
Has current drivers license to drive own vehicle on visits with reimbursement of expenses negotiated and set by Hospital CEO. Must be willing to have insurance coverage as set by the CEO.
Must be willing to have a KBI background check and be willing to sign a volunteer criminal background affidavit.
