What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Mechanic position at COMMUNITY MEMORIAL HEALTHCARE, INC?
The Maintenance Department has a full-time position available with a work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The Maintenance Department is on-call due to being healthcare facility, so the position would be on a rotating basis for call. The department is responsible for preventative maintenance to the hospital and 6 outlying buildings.
Performs urgent, corrective, routine and requisitioned repairs of minor problems with the electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems as required. Notifies lead engineer if major repairs are required.
Assists in maintaining HVAC controls and associated equipment to maximize efficiency levels in all environmentally controlled areas.
Performs preventative maintenance on equipment and systems as required.
Performs maintenance duties to all physical structures of facility and complies with all building safety codes. This is to include facility equipment and associated controls.
Assists in replacing, repairing and testing electrical circuits, equipment, appliances and lighting systems as required.
Maintains routine records of all inspections, maintenance and repairs performed on any equipment or system.
Performs manual duties as requested (i.e., moving supplies or furniture, replacing light bulbs, removing trash or scrap material).
Become knowledgeable of the fire alarm and signal systems. Become knowledgeable of how to use and maintain plant tools and equipment.
