Job Summary
Under the direction of the VP of HR & Support Services, The Hospital Facilities Director is responsible for managing the facility's physical assets, including building maintenance, groundskeeping, utilities, safety systems, and compliance with health and safety regulations. This individual ensures the hospital’s physical environment is safe, functional, and conducive to patient care and staff efficiency.
Requirements
- A degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, a related field, or an equivalent amount of work experience.
- At least 5 years’ experience in facility management, ideally in a hospital setting with extensive experience with the following: a. Building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety) b. Utilizing and administering facility preventative maintenance software, preferably Brightly Software. c. Familiarity with healthcare regulations, including MN Department of Health Regulations, CMS, Life Safety Codes, and OSHA requirements. Knowledge of Joint Commission standards is a plus. d. Troubleshooting issues and implementing solutions.
- Strong project management, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Budgeting and financial management experience.
- Proficiency with Apps included in Microsoft 365.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Minnesota 1st Class C Boiler License. 2.Certification in Healthcare Facilities Management e.g., (CFM, FMP). 3. Knowledge of hospital-specific systems e.g., medical gas, life safety systems. 4.Six Sigma Yellow Belt.
Wage: Depending on your work experience, you could earn an annual salary of $83,078 up to $120,462.
