What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receptionist - Morrisville Family Health Center position at Community Memorial Hospital?
Operational/Procedural Responsibilities:
- Oversees waiting area, coordinate patient movement, reports problems or irregularities.
- Receive Patients Greets customers in polite, prompt, helpful manner. Provides any necessary instructions/directions.
- Informs appropriate department/person of person's arrival.
- Perform outpatient registration duties. Complete outpatient registrations in an efficient and courteous manner by accurately capturing and entering information.
- Perform scheduling activities: Schedules follow-up appointments. Records any additions or cancellations to the provider appointment system. Enter add-ons, no-shows, and cancellations in scheduling system to accurately reflect patient appointment status.
- Prepares medical records for provider staff use.
- Reconciles charge capture sheet and patient visits schedule to assure that a charge capture sheet has been processed for each visit.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Answers telephones. Takes accurate messages and provides message to nurse or provider.
- Provides coverage to other clinics as the need arises.
- Attends meetings as required.
- Assembles patient's charts for next day visit. Updates profile on all patients
- Schedules physician referrals, outpatient appointments and admissions as requested.
- Participates in the Daily huddle where the days schedule will be reviewed, and follow-up tasks will be assigned. No shows and same day cancellations from previous business day will be discussed and follow-ups will be assigned.
Education
Required- High School or better
