Description
The Respiratory Therapist reports directly to the Respiratory Therapy Manager and is responsible for administering patient Respiratory therapy treatments within the scope of education, and in accordance to physician orders.
Qualifications
- Education:
Associate’s degree in an accredited Respiratory Care Program and licensed to practice in the State of Ohio or possess a limited permit license and be a student in good standing in a Respiratory Care educational program. Position also requires CPR and NRP certificates, with ACLS and PALS recommended. - Prior Work Experience: One to two years' experience in respiratory care preferred
- Skills: Must possess the necessary clinical skills to perform the assigned duties. Position requires working knowledge of computer systems, excellent time management, customer service, and communication skills.
- Independent Judgment: Must make critical care decisions in both ER and OB, possess ability to establish appropriate patient care plans and maintain confidentiality at all times.
