CMHA is looking to hire a full-time 40 hours per week Clinician l. This position will be located in New Britain, CT. (Mon-Fri 8AM - 4PM) or (Mon-Fri 9am-5pm).
Compensation: $57k minimum to $76k maximum per year.
Starting salary will be determined based on relevant years of experience.
Position Summary: Provides assessment and clinical treatment to all clients via satellite sites and CMHA’s 233 Main Street clinic by utilizing individual treatments inclusive of individual, family, and group therapy to address identified client needs.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) to clients via satellite sites and CMHA’s 233 Main Street clinic.
  • Reduce OUD and the number of opioid overdose-related deaths among homeless/at-risk individuals through treatment and prevention education.
  • Reduce the likelihood of chronic disease and premature death among individuals with OUD who are homeless/at risk by connecting them to integrated primary care.
  • Provide integrated behavioral health and primary care services to at least 25 program participants annually via imbedded Community Health Center (CHC) at CMHA’s Open Access Center.
  • Develop achievable goals with client with measurable and behavioral objectives within designated timeframes. Monitor treatment progress and provides updates within identified timeframes and as necessary.
Requirements:
  • Master’s degree in behavioral health (psychology, social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, and/or alcohol and drug counseling).
  • Must be eligible for full licensure.
  • Certified in first aid and CPR.
  • Bi-lingual preferred (Spanish/English).
  • Valid CT Driver’s License and reliable transportation required.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Beginner to intermediate experience with Microsoft Office products including Word and Outlook.
  • Experience in an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
  • Demonstrates desire to work with children, adolescents, families and adults with moderate to severe behavioral health issues.
  • Successful experience in the provision of mental health services with children, adolescents, adults and/or families; preferably a minimum of two years.
